Dear Friend,

2021 was an eventful year for the city of New Orleans as we continued to take steps to set up future generations of New Orleanians for success. Events like the re-election of Mayor LaToya Cantrell by over 65% signaled that New Orleans wants action and not more of kicking the can down the road.

For years, New Orleanians have made the case that New Orleans does not get its fair share of hospitality tax revenue from the state. However, in just her first term Mayor Cantrell negotiated a historic deal with Governor John Bel Edwards to bring millions back to our city for infrastructure investmest.

Now, we must work to ensure that self-serving politicians in Baton Rouge do not take away this critical funding. Chip in $20.22 to help us close out this year and start 2022 on the right foot. ([link removed])
Sadly, politicians in Baton Rouge may have their eyes on more than just our fair share agreement. In November, the people of New Orleans came together to fight off capitol bureaucrats' attempt to take our local sales tax revenue by rejecting a constitutional amendment.

Thanks to Mayor Cantrell and organizers across the city and state, voters were able to recognize the amendment for what it truly was - a power grab.

Chip in $20.22 to help us protect New Orleans from self-serving politicians in Baton Rouge in 2022. ([link removed])
The reality is that efforts in Baton Rouge to undermine Mayor Cantrell and the city of New Orleans are going to persist, but we know we can defeat them alongside each other.

Donate today ([link removed]) to help us be prepared for all to come in 2022.
