Hi there,
Sara Gideon here.
In my time in the Maine State House and in my run for U.S. Senate, I saw firsthand how hard it is to break through the polarization to get things done and to win lasting change.
I saw how divided we are.
But the amazing team at the Fairness Project has been able to win real change by running people-powered ballot measure campaigns that cut through the partisan noise by bringing common-sense policy questions directly to voters.
They’ve won 23 campaigns to raise wages, expand health care, and guarantee paid leave in red, purple, and blue states — because Americans everywhere agree with common-sense reforms that improve our lives. In Maine, they were a pivotal partner in passing Medicaid expansion — helping 70,000 Mainers get access to the health care they needed.
Our politics may be divided, and too many politicians may care more about what party they represent than making a difference in the lives of the people they were elected to represent.
But, the Fairness Project is showing the country that we can make real progress and change lives by coming together around common-sense issues. But they’re facing attacks from extremist politicians and other special interests, so they need our help.
Can you join me in supporting the Fairness Project as they fight to protect the ballot measure process and to help them win more campaigns across the country in 2022?
