But before I explain why I believe this groundbreaking campaign is key to
engaging millions of supporters around the globe in the fight to stop the
fossil fuel industry, I need to ask you for your support:

Here's the situation we are facing,

When a climate disaster happens, and people are suffering from unthinkable
devastation, the first questions we get asked are "How can I help?" and
"What can I do?"

As a global organization, we are in a strong position to provide the
on-the-ground support and resources for communities to rebuild and for
climate activists to continue the vital work they are doing.

But rebuilding is not enough. No. That is why we are launching a Climate
Solutions Campaign that aims to build real resiliency for communities
around the world.

If we are going to support local communities around the globe building
climate resilience, it is going to take a LOT of resources. That's why I
am asking you today:

As climate disasters worsen, as more and more people are displaced around
the world, calling on the fossil fuel industry and the financial backers
to stop funding the climate crisis will no longer be enough.

Our movement must continue to grow. Our focus must expand from holding
politicians accountable to ensuring communities have the resources they
need to weather the worst effects of the climate crisis and organize. At
the same time.

It's a scary reality when you think about it. Climate activists organizing
their communities with no electricity, water, or transportation. But the
truth is that we need to be ready for things to get worse before they get
better, John.

But here's why I am hopeful:

When we come together as a climate movement, we are unstoppable. So yes,
this campaign is unlike anything we have ever done before. The logistics
and resources will be unprecedented — but there is nothing more urgent at
this moment for our movement. And we cannot do it alone:
