Hi John,

Next week, 2021 will come to a close, and we’ll ring in the New Year.

We’ve accomplished a lot together, and I’m so proud of how far we’ve come as we’ve been building a grassroots movement strong enough to win against candidates backed by wealthy corporations.

Before the year ends, I hope you’ll support our campaign as we work to reach our final $25,000 fundraising goal.

I’m looking forward to what’s ahead for our movement in 2022 and what we’ll achieve in Congress for folks across the country — but I am also up for re-election next year, so it’s time to get serious about defending my seat.

John, please chip in any amount to support my re-election campaign ahead of our end-of-year fundraising deadline next Friday. It’s critical that I can still count on you going into this election cycle.

Republicans are going into next year’s midterms confident that they’ll take back control of Congress — and they’ve got a leg up due to partisan gerrymandering and voter suppression. But we still have what it takes to prove them wrong.

Just last year, grassroots supporters like you were instrumental in my efforts to be elected to represent New York’s 17th Congressional District. Together, we made history when I became the first openly gay, Black Congressmember.

John, will you step up once again and contribute to my re-election campaign? Your contribution will fuel our team’s efforts to keep me in Washington.

I will continue to fight to deliver for working- and middle-class families in our country.

Protecting our voting and reproductive rights, securing racial and LGBTQ+ justice, saving our planet from the climate crisis, and abolishing the filibuster are just a few of the critical issues I’m pushing for at the policy-making table.
