Charles Booker captured our attention and our imagination with his inspiring campaign for Kentucky's U.S. Senate seat in 2020.

Growing up diabetic and struggling to afford basic necessities in one of Kentucky's poorest zip codes, with family members falling victim to gun violence, Charles decided to serve his community and run for office. After winning a term to the Kentucky House of Representatives, Charles took the next step, challenging Mitch McConnell and building an inspiring campaign from the “Hood to the Holler” and every place in between.

His leadership calling for justice for Breonna Taylor during last year's protests in Louisville, his hometown, is but one example of the type of person, state representative, and Senate candidate Charles is. And he's taken his campaign to every corner of Kentucky — most recently, in the city of Mayfield where tornadoes devastated the local community.

Here's the bottom line — Charles Booker is somebody who shows up. For you. For me. And for anyone less fortunate, left out, or made to feel less than.
