Please see the below statement from Chairwoman Kelly Loeffler on the passing of former U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson: Senator Johnny Isakson leaves an indelible mark of service and grace on Georgia, the Senate and our country. God blessed our state with this tireless champion of building bridges, who dedicated his life to his faith, family, and community. In the Senate, I was honored at sit at his desk, which he signed, and was reminded of his powerful legacy that will inspire Georgians for generations to come. Jeff and I send our love and prayers to Dianne and the Isakson family. As we close out 2021, Greater Georgia is working hard to connect with voters and stay involved in local communities to ensure every Georgian knows their voices are heard and their votes count. Recently, our team visited with several conservative groups to discuss Greater Georgia's work to register and engage voters and to spread love and cheer this holiday season. View pictures below of team members dropping by the Cobb County GOP Holiday Party and conducting a grassroots training session with the 6th District chapter of the Association of Mature American Citizens. A perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit is by giving back to your community, which is exactly what our Greater Georgia team members are doing. On Thursday, Chairwoman Kelly Loeffler joined the Georgia Division of Children and Family Services to help organize gifts for the Clark's Christmas Kids toy drive. Greater Georgia's work is critical to defending conservative values, and it will only be possible through the hard work and support of strong, grassroots volunteers. VOLUNTEER UPDATES: INTERNSHIP PROGRAM Greater Georgia has officially launched an internship program! We are recruiting interns to assist with voter registration and engagement. This opportunity will be great to learn the ropes of political organizing, including how to get out the vote, how to engage with voters in a variety of communities, and more. Possible areas of compensation include class credit, milage reimbursement, and cash incentives based on goal-oriented progress. If you or someone you know is interested, please contact Outreach Coordinator Terry Fye at [email protected] with questions or to submit a completed application. IN THE NEWS: Chairwoman Kelly Loeffler Talks Greater Georgia's Results and Strategy on The Erick Erickson Show, The Morning XTRA Dec. 6-7, 2021 Erick Erickson Show (Atlanta/National) Click HERE or the video to listen. "We've had over 1.5 million voter contacts, we've registered thousands of voters, we've been at 22,000 doors ... we've been instrumental in helping preserve a suburban seat in the State House ... [In House District 34], we were able to go in, drive up the turnout ... and we increased the margin of victory over Nov. 2020 for the Republican by six points." The Morning XTRA (Atlanta) Click HERE or the video to listen. "We're building the ground game to mobilize voters, to make sure that they know what's at stake and to have the people on the ground across the state with their neighbors knocking on doors, waving signs, registering voters, mobilizing people who haven't maybe voted in a couple cycles, helping them understand the stakes ... It starts with election integrity. We've got to make sure people trust this process."
