Team,
With Texas Republicans continuing their assault on democracy, it’s more clear than ever that Congress must pass the Freedom to Vote Act to stop partisan gerrymandering and protect voting rights. Will you add your name to my petition to demand Congress take action?

Partisan gerrymandering, like what Greg Abbott and Republicans have done here in Texas, is not just unfair -- it actively harms our country by making our politics more extreme, bringing us farther apart, not closer together.
I’m running for Congress to bring decency back to our politics and deliver real, meaningful change for the people of South Texas. But until we pass the Freedom to Vote Act, partisan gerrymandering will stand in the way.
Will you add your name to my petition now? Together, we must demand an end to gerrymandering.

I appreciate your support,
John

John Lira is the son of a Mexican American family of four in southeast San Antonio, a United States Marine Corps veteran, a dedicated father and husband, a devoted parishioner at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, and a proud Texan. He's running for Congress because he believes Texans deserve more than political posturing.
The Democratic House majority is hanging by a thread, and this is one of the most flippable seats in the country. We need all hands on deck to bring this thing home. Will you rush a donation now?
