One in every six 16 year-olds who try marijuana will become addicted to it. Marijuana addiction, otherwise known as cannabis use disorder, is a problem that is all too common amongst youths. The panelists will share their experiences with cannabis use disorder on a professional level and will give participants insight into addiction and recovery.
Learning objectives:
1) Discuss the realities of struggling with marijuana addiction and recovery as a young person.
2) Advise participants on how best to prevent cannabis use disorder (CUD), and help youth (children, students, etc.) who meet the criteria for CUD.
3) Explore how dispelling myths about marijuana addiction can help promote positive messages of recovery.
