The House voted in favor of holding former Trump Chief of Staff Mark Meadows in contempt for refusing to comply with the committee's subpoena. Meadows is the second person – after Steve Bannon – to be held in contempt for trying to impede the investigation.

The House is sending a strong message that they won't let Trump and his allies get away with impeding their investigation and escaping accountability. They're holding them responsible and doing everything in their power to uncover the truth about January 6.
