What's Next for Constitutional Carry?
So now that Constitutional Concealed Carry and a repeal of most pistol free zones
has been reported out of the House Military, Veterans, and Homeland Security Committee
on a 5-1 vote, what's the next step?
This session, the House has implemented a process where firearms legislations goes
through two committees prior to being voted on by the full House. So the next step
is to obtain a hearing and vote in the House Judiciary Committee chaired by Rep.
Graham Filler (R-DeWitt).
It is unknown when or if the House Judiciary Committee will take up the package.
Consequently, MCRGO has joined with the bill sponsors in requesting a hearing and
vote in House Judiciary Committee at the earliest possible opportunity.
