Hi, friend 👋 My name is Ellen Goodmann Miller. If we haven't met yet, I'm proud to be serving as the Political Director for Ras' campaign.

By now you probably know that we're not running a traditional campaign. Like Ras, I am a lifelong Iowan. We know that the way to reach people isn’t on the phone or through ads. In Iowa, we do it by meeting them in person, looking them in the eye, and having real conversations. That’s where we find common ground and how we make change.

Ras is as Iowa as it gets. He knows our public education system in and out. He is as at home in camouflage hunting pheasants as he is in his mom’s church. He grills most months of the year. He’s lost students to gun violence. He can go into “red” and “blue” spaces and leave with new friends. He can speak to everyone at the table.

And he does.

If Democrats want a new playbook on how to flip a state -- follow Ras. Invest in Ras. He gets it.

And so, we’re continuing to hit the road to visit Iowans in all the beautiful regions of our home state that we love. As my colleagues can attest, it’s always an adventure on the campaign trail with Ras.

He slows down to point out every piece of public land in the state and plans how he can return to hunt or fish.

He stops to help anyone with car trouble. No matter what.

It’s nearly impossible to peel him away from an antique fair.

He knows the lyrics to every song by Adele.

One of the greatest gifts on the campaign trail is getting to know Ras’s amazing wife, kids, and extended family. Our daughters have become fast friends.

Running a campaign like ours takes time and money. We know we can lead Iowa and the country in making historic change. But we need your help. I’m asking:
