For our next Treason Caucus Spotlight, we've decided to highlight the embarrassment of Texas, Senator Ted Cruz.

Throughout the pandemic, we have seen Republicans including Cruz accuse the brave members of the medical community of pushing a grand conspiracy of betrayal and complete denial of evidence based medicine.

Last month, Cruz went on a public media war with beloved resident of 123 ½ Sesame Street and alleged deep state propagandist, Big Bird himself. Then, he called for the prosecution of Dr. Fauci, despite his own very prosecutable actions on January 6th.

In a recent interview with CBS's Margaret Brennan, Dr. Fauci was made aware of Cruz's call for his conviction and responded "Yeah, I have to laugh at that. I should be prosecuted? What happened on January 6, senator?"

The truth is, however much Ted may try to deny it, we all know he played a role in the January 6th storming of the Capitol. Not only did Senator Cruz perpetuate the Big Lie -- he was a key figure the terrorists looked to for inspiration when attempting their failed coup.

Senator Cruz has continually spread dangerous lies that threaten to destabilize our democracy. We must show him that we will not stand for his lies.
