We have a chance to make history in California—help us re-elect AG Bonta!

California Attorney General Rob Bonta was nominated in March 2021 by Gov. Gavin Newsom to serve as the state’s top justice official. The progressive Bay Area Democrat is the first Asian American man in this office and was the first Filipino-American to serve in the California State Assembly.

Quick highlights on AG Bonta’s time in office:

• Launched Racial Justice Bureau to tackle the rise of hate and white supremacy

• Issued new guidance and resources to help the public and law enforcement better understand and address anti-Asian hate crimes

• Created first-ever Office of Community Awareness, Response, and Engagement (CARE) to ensure AAPI organizations and all community organizations have a direct line to the state Justice Dept.

• Defended California’s nation-leading gun safety laws

• Demanding police accountability through independent investigations into police use of force

• Fighting to make police misconduct records public

• Launched diversity and representation hiring initiative in Justice Dept.
