Urge the EPA to Save Monarch Butterflies
The number of monarch butterflies has decreased by more than 80 percent in the past 20 years. The biggest culprit? The widespread use of glyphosate by the agriculture industry. Glyphosate-based herbicides, such as the potent weed killer Roundup, wipe out native milkweed plants that monarch caterpillars need to survive. The toxic chemical, which has been linked to cancer, threatens human health, too. Demand that EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler adopt tough restrictions on glyphosate now.
