Our most important FEC fundraising deadline yet is on December 31st. To show Tony Gonzales and his National Republican backers that we are ready to fight in 2022, we must finish the year strong. And even $5, $10, or $25 can help do that.
Look, John is a proud father, Texan, Marine Corps veteran, and Democrat. He was born and raised in Southeast San Antonio and is running for Congress to flip TX-23 blue and bring our Texas values to Washington.
As the son of a working-class Mexican-American family, John has always been committed to giving back to our country. He served 11 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, including two combat tours in Iraq. And when he returned to civilian life, John used the G.I. Bill to go back to school and ultimately earn a master’s degree in public policy.
Since then, John has been focused on empowering community organizations to support veterans and military families. At the U.S. Small Business Administration, he helped veterans start small businesses. At the National Commission on Military, National, and Public Service, he helped develop policies to revive an ethos of service in America.
We’ll be blunt, friends: The real work is just getting started, and we’re going to need your help. Together, we must deliver change for the people. John and everyone here at Lira HQ are working hard to build a people-powered campaign to bring our Texas values to Congress, but we need your help to do it.
