I am honoured to have been appointed interim Leader of the Green Party, and I am looking forward to working with all of you! After a difficult year, I’m certainly ready to turn the page and get into the work of building our capacity.
Friend, I hope you will join me on this journey of reconnection and growth.
We had our first caucus meeting this week, as well as a press conference together in the West Block of Parliament, and goodness, our MPs are fantastic. I will be doing everything I can to support Elizabeth and Mike and share the impact of their work. I can’t wait for our caucus to grow.
Over the next few months, I will be meeting with members and EDAs across the country, fundraising, supporting our caucus and shadow cabinet, planning a leadership race, and more!
As I turn 31 years old today, I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday present than to have this opportunity to help and serve you all.
Our country, and the world, need the Green Party right now, in the face of climate disaster and persistent inequality and injustice. We are truth-tellers and change-makers, and nowhere is that clearer than watching our MPs in the house.
