Register for the live webinar: learn how to become a municipal clerk

Hi John,

One thing that we learned from 2020 is that good election administration matters. And a critical part of good election administration is having good municipal clerks.

Municipal clerks play one of the most important roles in our democracy. In Wisconsin, clerks have enormous power to make sure elections are carried out in a way that makes voting accessible for all eligible Wisconsin voters.

There are typically hundreds of openings for these jobs every year across the state. Jobs can be volunteer, part time, or full time. Our democracy is stronger when Wisconsinites who care about elections are prepared when applying for these jobs.

Sign up to join America Votes on December 9 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to learn more about becoming a clerk. Register here to get a link to the live webinar to hear from actual clerks on what their jobs are like and how to apply. [[link removed]]

Democracy is not a spectator sport – and as a municipal clerk, you can play a vital role in Wisconsin's elections. If you have a passion for your community and for election work, take the next step and learn more about the job.
