Will this pandemic ever end?

It feels like it’s been going on forever with no end in sight. Now we have the new variant of concern: Omicron.

I stand for monthly checks to everyone in this country until the pandemic is over, as well as Medicare for All and cancelling rents and mortgages. If you’re with me on that, can you chip in now to help me win my election to Congress?

I’ll leave the predictions on how bad this will be to the epidemiologists, but one thing I know for sure: this pandemic has been wildly mismanaged.

Nearly 800,000 people in the US have died of Covid.

Almost 20% of Americans lost their entire life savings during the pandemic.

We’ve endured almost two years of isolation, financial hardship, and worry.

Now just think about this: how much money has been spent on tax cuts for billionaires, increased funding to the military, and bailing out Wall Street — but they can’t give us enough to survive? How mysterious.

It’s almost like Congress values corporate profits over human lives.
