I hope you had a great and safe holiday weekend with family and friends!

I wanted to take a quick moment out of my day to send you a note and ask for a favor:

November had some enormous ups and downs, both here in Virginia and in the U.S. Senate. Unfortunately, the elections earlier this month didn’t go the way many of us hoped -- it’s clear we have work to do in the fight to continue Virginia’s progress.

But there was good news, too: We secured historic investments in Virginia’s and our nation’s infrastructure with a bipartisan bill that passed through the U.S. Senate. And I’m optimistic that we will soon approve important investments in our future with the Build Back Better bill, which will cut taxes and lower costs for American families.

I’m hopeful about where we’re headed. But with 2022 quickly approaching, we need to have all hands on deck in the fight to stop Republicans from winning back control of Congress and reversing our progress.
