John, you are going to get a lot of emails in the next couple of days from organizations and campaigns asking for money because tomorrow is the last end-of-month deadline before heading into the final month of 2021.

This might seem brazen of us, but we're asking you humbly to ignore all the other asks in your inbox and please read our long email below explaining to you why we really need your support and where your money is actually going to.

We are a small, scrappy, people-powered organization that isn't out for personal gain, hidden motives, or profit. We aren't affiliated with any outside parties or the establishment or anything like that. And if you were to count on your hands the number of staff members and volunteers that we have working behind the scenes, you'd have extra fingers. That's why your grassroots support is absolutely essential to keeping our independent operation running.

Every single member of our modest-sized team truly stands by our mission of empowering rural Americans. Not only do we believe that rural districts are too often neglected and left behind in politics, but we also believe that these untapped areas are the key to sweeping Democratic victories.

Republicans are hoping that these hard-to-reach areas won't know any better or have access to the same information or exposure that large cities do. Conservative candidates target these vulnerable rural areas by making promises they won't deliver on with fear-mongering and pandering. That's how Donald Trump won.

They pretend to understand the unique struggles of our farmers, our miners, our laborers, and our factory workers, all while sitting in their penthouse suites at the top of Trump Tower in some of the wealthiest cities in the nation.

As a result, rural areas are written off as GOP strongholds and often ignored by Democrats. At No Dem Left Behind, we believe this is a fatal mistake. That's why we focus primarily on closing that gap between urban and rural America by ensuring equal representation for these marginalized communities and providing a platform for rural Democrats to run effective campaigns.

Last year, Dems flipped the Senate blue in large part because of the groundwork that was put into rural Georgia. Groundwork means knocking on doors, making calls, talking personally with everyday rural Americans, and then mobilizing them. 

But still, the victory margin was slim. And now our Senate majority remains incredibly fragile. So as we head into the 2022 midterms, these rural states and districts are going to be packed with battleground races.

It's becoming more and more evident how instrumental small-town and rural Democrats are to winning these key elections in presumbly red or purple seats -- even in "safe blue" seats, if we're being honest, based on the most recent general election.

So our No Dem Left Behind strategy is to establish rural America as the focal point for Democrats to flip and defend more seats.

We're putting substantial resources behind our endorsed Senate candidates like John Fetterman in Pennsylvania, Rep. Tim Ryan in Ohio, and Val Demings in Florida because we are confident that they are among our best chances at protecting and expanding the critical Democratic Senate majority. 

We don't just pick any Democrats to endorse either. These leaders have proven track records of fighting for working-class individuals, delivering on our Democratic values, and being a voice for rural Americans. 

So we're spotlighting our Senate Fund for this end-of-month goal to specifically lift up John, Tim, and Val. Your gift will give these already-viable campaigns the boost they need to remain competitive, reach voters, and stop Mitch McConnell from regaining control.
