Dear team,

As we enter the busy holiday season, I want to take a moment to thank everyone in the Third District. Representing this community which I’ve called home my entire life is a huge honor, and I’d like to share with you what I’ve been working on lately:

BUILDING BACK BETTER : This historic piece of legislation that will set our country on course to meet its climate goals, create millions of jobs, invest in future generations, and grow our economy is something I’m incredibly proud to stand behind. I’ve been working hard behind the scenes to rally support and am looking forward to the Senate vote now that it’s passed the House.

SEWAGE OVERFLOW : I re-introduced the Stop Sewage Overflow Act with my Republican colleague Rep. Darin LaHood to ensure that the federal government does its part to support the cleanup and prevention of combined sewage overflows. Our bill turned into the foundation for the critical investments in upgrading our sewer infrastructure in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, as well as the House-passed Build Back Better Act. Our local bodies of water, including the Merrimack River, must be protected from contamination and I will continue to fight for our environment.

TAKING ON BIG TECH : The Covid-19 pandemic has underscored how much of our lives are now lived online. From telehealth to EdTech to harmful ad targeting practices, this shift only further illustrates how important comprehensive data privacy legislation is in the United States. I’ve been pushing hard for Congress to tackle comprehensive data privacy, and have introduced several bills on my own to help move the needle on issues like social media data accessibility for researchers and protecting our kids online.

I’m counting on support from this grassroots community – people like you, to ensure I come back to Congress next year and build on this work.

If you’re able to, I hope you’ll consider supporting my 2022 re-election campaign by contributing whatever you can before our important end-of-month deadline. Your support means everything, and it’s the reason why I’m able to continue this work [[link removed]] .
