Democrat Kyrsten Sinema, Senator from Arizona, has proven this week exactly why “Blue No Matter Who,” is the wrong strategy in 2020.
Sinema, who won the seat in 2018 when Jeff Flake retired, has said this week that she’ll not commit to voting for a Democrat in the Presidential election, and may even vote for Trump’s re-election. She votes in line with the GOP the majority of the time, doesn’t support the Green New Deal or Medicare for All, and has even called Blue Dog Democrat Joe Manchin an “idol.”
Blue no Matter Who just won’t do!
We have four more years before Kyrsten Sinema can be challenged. But, we have candidates running across the country who are shaking up the status quo right now by challenging corrupt incumbents. Incumbents who easily cower to the big-money donors that hedge their bets by donating to BOTH parties to influence legislation.
With Democrats like Kyrsten Sinema on the floor, we must elect more progressives to the Senate, like Paula Jean Swearengin in West Virginia and Kimberly Graham in Iowa.
