On behalf of the Board of Directors, we would like to thank you for your continued support of the People’s Alliance and Durham over this past year. Please be reminded that this is the time of year to renew your membership for the coming year, you are welcome to do that here. <[link removed]> Your membership will need to be up-to-date in order to vote in the PAC's January endorsement meeting.



December Membership Meeting



Our final membership meeting of the year will be December 7th, 2021 at 6:30 PM. Among the items on the agenda will be final approval of the interim harassment policy <[link removed]> and election of PA's officers and board members. We also have some minor bylaw clarification amendments for review and approval by the membership.

Leadership



This year, we are nominating one new member to the PA's Board of Directors: Sally Hodges-Copple. We are so excited to welcome Sally to the board, subject to membership approval. 



Sally was born and raised in Durham and is a proud product of Durham Public Schools. She is a graduate of Rice University (BA) and Duke University (MPP). She currently works as a Data Specialist with the Emily Krzyzewski Center. In her free time she enjoys reading, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. 



Membership approval is also required for the Executive Committee of the Board for the 2022 year:



- Co-presidents: Millicent Rogers and Adam Beyer



- Treasurer: Carl Rist



- Secretary: Sendolo Diaminah



Bylaw Amendments



A listing and description of the proposed updates is available here <[link removed]>. The changes are meant primarily to clarify several processes on the Action Team level. Please reach out or come prepared with any questions or feedback!
