Friend,

Since announcing this campaign, we've received a lot of advice from political experts and insiders. They've advised us to follow the normal campaign playbook: Spend lots of time on the phone with big donors -- then go up with television ads a few months before the election.

We're rejecting the typical campaign playbook because it's just not going to work this time around. Instead, we're traveling to every corner of the state to meet Iowans where they are. We're coming up with solutions to the problems facing our state. And we're not writing anyone or their community off -- no matter who they voted for in the last election.

In order to run a field-focused campaign that reaches more Democrats, independents and undecided voters (and some Republicans, too!) -- I need to be able to rely on a strong base of grassroots fundraising. That's why I'm asking personally:

With the end of November in sight, will you chip in $3 toward my end-of-month goal? We're more than halfway through the month and not quite half of the way to our monthly goal. I could really use a boost from you today, friend. Thanks, from the bottom of my heart.

Kim Reynolds is vulnerable. According to polling from Morning Consult, she's America's 9th least popular governor.

We can beat her, but it's going to take all of us coming together to do it.
