Pundits have been declaring that Democratic chances in 2022 are DOA, but there’s one thing many are missing: the Republican party is a hot mess.

The GOP’s Trump worship and violent, racist rhetoric are causing Republicans to nominate extreme candidates who will have a tough time appealing to voters. This creates an opportunity for Democratic candidates.
