Senate Republicans have once again blocked the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, which would ultimately restore crucial protections against racial voter discrimination.
The failed vote was the fourth time this year that Republicans have blocked voting rights legislation.
This is a low, low point in the history of the Senate.
Congress has continually failed to take action. If our senators truly want to honor the memory and words of John Lewis, they must approve this legislation and help ensure that everyone participates in our democracy.
