The Future of Speech Online: Technology, Empowerment, & Censorship
Will the internet of the future be one that empowers individuals and provides greater access to information, or will censorship and the siloing of ideas become more prevalent? How can we work together to shape a digital future where speech and democracy flourish? The choices we make around what technologies to deploy and what policies to advance will be key to answering that.

Join us on Friday, November 15, as the Center for Democracy & Technology, in partnership with the Freedom Forum Institute and the Charles Koch Institute, host The Future of Speech Online: Technology, Empowerment, and Censorship. This daylong summit will explore the technology of online speech, and will include discussions about censorship and circumvention, user empowerment, and automation in moderating content.

We’ve added some incredible speakers who you won’t want to miss.
