“If we can win Medicaid expansion in Oklahoma, we can win on these issues anywhere.”

Hey there!

Last week, our Executive Director, Kelly Hall talked with Cheddar Politics about our recent 2021 ballot measure victories and how we’ve been able to secure a 23/24 winning record.

The answer?

Ballot measures allow voters across the country to divorce issues often coined as “progressive” from partisan politics and ideologies and take the power into their own hands to create the changes they want to see in their communities.

We’re preparing our legislative agenda for 2022, but before announcing the campaigns we’re fighting for in the midterms, we want to know how strong national support is for the ballot measure process. Will you take our 1-click poll to let us know: Do you believe ballot measures are a powerful tool to enact change?

YES

NO

Ballot measure campaigns have allowed us to carve a path for progress through partisan gridlock to bring workers higher wages, stop predatory payday lenders, improve health care access, secure more paid time off, and so much more. And with this year’s victories, we’ve also been able to create real accountability for police misconduct.

But, not everyone believes in the ballot measure process — some extremist politicians have noticed the change we’ve been able to create and now they are attacking this most-democratic tool.

Friend: We want to know what you think… Will you take our 1-click poll to let us know: Do you believe ballot measures are a powerful tool to enact change?

YES

NO
