Friend,

First of all, tens of thousands of you have already thanked Merrick Garland for holding the January 6th tyrants and insurrectionists accountable. You’ve shown the power of what we’re doing here.

Now, for the second time in a week, we all have to come together to speak out against the violent authoritarianism gripping the GOP.

If one of your colleagues posted a video of you being dismembered, you’d think there would be consequences, right? Not in Kevin McCarthy’s GOP. Paul Gosar tweeted a video explicitly threatening the life of a House colleague and the safety of the president. And the GOP wants him to get away with it. Despite the House voting to censure Gosar, Steve Scalise, Kevin McCarthy and the rest of the Trumpist mob actually encouraged their party to let him skate. Almost every Republican heeded the call of the mob and voted no on censure.

Here is where our voices matter, Friend. When we stand up and say Steve Bannon should be indicted, it matters. When we speak out against what the GOP has become, it matters. Because they are now enabling violence with their votes on the House floor. Don’t you think another one of these is coming? Don’t you think it has the potential to be way worse? Look at what happened on January 6th.

So join me and tell the GOP that if they won’t condemn Paul Gosar, we will. <[link removed]>

<[link removed]>ADD YOUR NAME: CONDEMN PAUL GOSAR <[link removed]>

This is what their Party has become. Debates aren’t about policy or constituents. They’re about personal vendettas, legitimating death threats, and unrestrained political violence.

When violence has become the single most unifying pillar of a party platform, it is no longer a safe, legitimate political party in America. No sane person can deny that’s where we are today. And it’s up to us to help the rest of the country see it too.
