We’re about to ask you to make a contribution to support Ed and our campaign, and we hope you’ll give us a moment to explain why this request is so important — especially today.

Here’s the situation, plain and simple: we’re 56% of the way through November, but as of this morning only 43% of the way to our fundraising goal for the month.

The truth is that November does tend to be a slower month for online fundraising. This isn’t a huge surprise, and it’s not the kind of gap that we can’t overcome if we all do our part.

But since our grassroots movement is powered by lots and lots of people like you chipping in what they can, when they can, we really can’t afford to slow down. Not right now, not with so many important fights on the horizon.

It’s important that we don’t fall too far behind, so we have to ask you directly:
