A new Washington Post/ABC News poll stopped me in my tracks this week. It shows Republicans beating Democrats in 2022 by ten points—the GOP’s biggest lead since 1981.

This is really serious.

Over the past several years, you marched, organized, and invested in Democratic campaigns across the country with unprecedented enthusiasm. You made it possible for Democrats to control the House, Senate, and White House. But it’s also up to us to keep it that way.

Unfortunately, I’m hearing from so many people that grassroots contributions to Democrats are drying up so far this year, and it couldn’t come at a worse time. We need to build a strong foundation now to withstand Republican attacks.

I started BACKROADS PAC to hold rural Republicans accountable by supporting their Democratic opponents. That mission hasn’t changed, but it’s getting more critical by the day.

Please, contribute anything you can right now to protect the Democratic House majority. Any amount makes a difference.
