Friend, I have a quick question for you. I hope you'll indulge me:

Have you received a robocall in the past 48 hours?

I think I know the answer – it's "yes," isn't it?

In fact, a report estimated that 45% of all calls on any given day are robocalls! And too many of those calls are fraudulent.

Americans have reported an estimated $325 million in financial losses due to fraudulent robocalls just this year – and 2021 isn't even over yet.

But it's not just robocalls – it's all kinds of mobile communication. You've probably received spam SMS, too, right? In 2021 so far, more than 47 billion spam texts have been sent – and the FCC has received nearly 10,000 complaints about scam texts!

I dread answering the phone when I don't recognize the number – and I know of so many others who feel the same. But it's not just a nuisance. Three out of four Americans have been targeted by phone scammers aiming to steal their hard-earned money, and things only seem to be getting worse.

I firmly believe that we need to hold these scammers accountable for their illegal actions and put an end to robocall fraud, but I need to know where top Democrats like you, friend, stand on this critical issue. So please, let me know by midnight:
