** The Crescent City Card Program is making waves.

Yesterday, Mayor Cantrell announced the launch of the Crescent City Card Program in partnership with Forward Together New Orleans, Mastercard, and Mobility Capital Finance Inc.

The Crescent City Card Program encompasses a series of initiatives and products to offer financial inclusion, access to emergency disbursements, incentives to drive economic growth, empower underbanked residents, and provide better access to City services such as NORD recreation centers, parks, libraries, and public transportation.

The program, which will work to end wealth disparity across the city, is already making headlines.

NOLA.com: New Orleans has created a program to teach residents aged 16 to 24 about financial literacy and help them build wealth. The city will pay 125 young people $350 a month for most of next year under the new program. ([link removed])
