The incumbents that BNC candidates are challenging have taken a combined $10 MILLION in PAC donations this election cycle alone.
Imagine what $10 million could pay for. It could pay for 4 million school lunches, childcare for 1,800 families, or a week’s worth of wages at $15 an hour for 16,000 people.
BNC candidates recognize our country’s current campaign finance system is a racket. That’s why they refuse ALL corporate PAC donations. Our 26 candidates don’t have millions to waste on television advertisements and expensive consultants.
At BNC, we are trying to close the gap between what is—the current campaign finance racket—and what should be—a government for us, by us, that doesn’t answer to corporations. We’re doing that by supporting true grassroots candidates and providing them with training, volunteer support, and a coalition to help them win.
But we aren’t a multi-million dollar organization. We are grassroots ourselves. We’re a volunteer-led team with dedicated supporters that is trying to do big things.
