Hi there,
Earlier this week, the South Dakotans Decide Healthcare campaign submitted a petition to place Medicaid expansion on the ballot in 2022.
I’m excited to announce that 46,119 South Dakotans signed the petition to put this important measure on the ballot — a resounding ‘yes’ that residents across the state want and need expanded healthcare.
Right now, South Dakota is one of only 12 states that still has not expanded health care coverage to more low-income adults under the Affordable Care Act. If victorious, this proposed ballot measure would expand care to over 42,500 South Dakotans!
I’m proud to stand alongside my team at The Fairness Project and South Dakotans as we continue to fight for common-sense solutions that better the lives of working people.
Will you make a donation of whatever you can afford today to fuel our 2022 efforts and help us run more ballot measure campaigns like this powerfully important one in South Dakota?

We’ve supported every successful ballot measure campaign to expand Medicaid since 2017 — securing victories in states like Idaho, Maine, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Utah, and even historically red states like Missouri. These victories have expanded life-saving health coverage to over 830,000 Americans nationwide.
Earlier this week, 46,119 South Dakotans called for change, and we’re proud to fight alongside them.
If you’re with us in our fight to secure change for working people across the country, will you chip in $20.22 to fuel our work today?
