I wanted you to hear it from me first: I’m running for re-election in 2022.

I’m running because next year we can finally take back the House, fire Nancy Pelosi, and stop Joe Biden from inflicting any more damage to our country.

It’s been my honor to represent the 9th District since that unbelievable special election victory three years ago. In the new Congressional districts passed last week by the North Carolina General Assembly, most of our district is now in the 8th District, and that’s where I plan to seek re-election.

Jo and I are sad the district no longer includes Robeson County, where we've come to know and love so many people since they helped deliver that close victory in 2019. But we’re excited to meet voters across Montgomery and Stanly Counties and we hope to earn their trust and yours in the days ahead.
