Health care is a human right, but millions of Americans are currently uninsured or underinsured.

It is disgraceful that millions of Americans are forced to work after retirement or crowdfund just to afford medical procedures or see a doctor.

COVID-19 has underscored how vital high-quality, affordable health care is and why it should not be contingent on income or employment status.

Since early 2020, over 46 million Americans have contracted COVID-19, and many have faced significant barriers to testing and treatment as a result of being uninsured or underinsured.

Mondaire is fed up with his colleagues dragging their feet at taking meaningful action to address health care access for all Americans. He’s also a leading advocate for Medicare for All.

He has co-sponsored the Medicare for All Act of 2021, and recently he successfully fought to include provisions in the Build Back Better Act that make health care affordable for millions more Americans.

Medicare for All is supported by 87 percent of Democratic voters — and if we fight hard enough, we can make passing this bill a reality.
