Friend,

In a moment I'm going to ask you to chip in $3 to our grassroots campaign. We're aiming to raise $7,000 online this month, and we're coming up $6,084 short of our goal. We need to pick up the pace a bit, but first let me tell you more about why I'm standing with striking workers at John Deere:

Workers are working harder than ever, while their pay is barely increasing. In fact, productivity has grown 3.5 times as much as pay over the past several decades.

Here in Iowa, we're seeing this firsthand at John Deere. The company is expected to rake in nearly $6 billion in income this year. During that same time, the CEO's compensation went from $6 million to more than $15 million -- yet workers are only being offered a small raise.

It's the same with pay for workers in schools, the service sector, healthcare, and many other industries. Those at the top get richer and richer, while working people get peanuts. Enough is enough.

My opponent Kim Reynolds has had nearly a month to stand with the UAW workers at John Deere. She's done nothing. On the other hand, as a state representative and son of a John Deere worker -- I'm standing with workers on the picket line as much as possible. If elected, workers will have the governor on their side as well.

In a few weeks, I'll be rolling out a Workers' Bill of Rights. Right now, I need a ton of people chipping in grassroots contributions to help fund our organizing efforts across the state. That's why I'm asking:

Will you chip in $3 to help me close the gap on our monthly goal? Anything you give goes toward reaching more Democrats and undecided voters to elect a governor who actually stands with workers.
