What’s happening, everybody?

I know the subject line is not breaking news, but it has to be said over and over again.

Mainstream media — yes, even our friends at MSNBC and CNN — desperately miss the Trump presidency.

Under Trump, our country was deteriorating and our global standing was faltering, but cable news was must-see TV every night. The headlines were always sensionalized like, “He said WHAT?!” “They did WHAT?!” And it wasn’t just Donald himself, but the entire family who made the front page. Whether it was Ivanka promoting her own fashion brand or Jared sneaking around with MBS doing whatever it is really evil people do...

The point is, it made for great headlines — and President Biden brought us back to normal.

As a result, the networks are struggling to keep up with hot story ideas, so the best thing they can do is attack the party in power. It is lazy journalism.

Now before you attack me for being a Democratic cheerleader, let me stop you right there.

We know we screwed up. We should have been knocking on more doors in rural Virginia. We should have fought back harder on the Critical Race Theory garbage and squashed it when we had the chance.

But as Democrats, we are a family — I believe that will all my heart. We share the same core values, and we want what’s best for this entire country as whole. Not just for those at the top, or those who live in certain parts, or even those who call themselves Democrats. That’s what separates us from the other side — we truly want everyone in America to prosper and succeed in achieving the American Dream.

Okay, Virginia was a setback. It happens. But we will not let it happen again. We will be mobilizing, organizing, knocking on doors, and talking to people one on one. And we will do it TOGETHER as a party who believes in liberty and justice for ALL.

This can’t wait, and we can’t do it without you. No Dem Left Behind has some really amazing Democratic candidates lined up that we are ready to endorse. But to be totally honest with you, we need a lot more momentum first before we have enough resources to throw behind them.
