I’m feeling pretty darn good to be a New Jersey Democrat today.

Of course there’s been a lot of noise from the pundits about what Democrats didn’t accomplish in last Tuesday’s elections, but let me tell you what we did : For the first time in over 40 years, we re-elected a sitting Democratic governor in New Jersey. Your support played an important role in that.

That’s historic, and it shows that if we continue to help working people, rebuild our economy, and invest in our nation’s future, it will pay dividends for us at the ballot box. No matter what the midterm history tells us.

With that in mind, I’d appreciate hearing from you directly about your priorities in the coming month. There’s a lot happening in Congress, and I want to ensure I’m directly hearing from as many of you as possible.
