** Being a Military Veteran means you dedicated your life to the preservation of freedom and liberty.

I consider it an honor and indeed a privilege to recognize our military Veterans ([link removed]) . Veterans dedicated years of their lives to the service of something bigger than themselves. Military Veterans join the service for a multitude of reasons like patriotism, education, and opportunity ([link removed]) to name a few. Whatever the reason for joining, the effect is the same.
Veterans serve the Nation and swear a legally binding Oath to “Support and Defend the Constitution,” and hence the rule of law “against all enemies foreign and domestic.” ([link removed])
At a base level, when you join the military, you are swearing an oath and saying that you are willing to put your life on the line when ordered to do so to protect the Nation, it’s assets, interests, allies, and the privileges of freedom, liberty, and independence we all know and enjoy!
Veterans sacrifice a measure of their own freedom and liberty in service of the Nation to ensure that the blessings of liberty are secure for future generations!
United States Military Veterans come from every walk of life, every race, every religious sect, and every geographical region. ([link removed])
But even given the vast diversity in ranks, military members manage to put differences aside and fight for the common goal of protection of our shared home, and liberality. The United States Military is a perfect representation of the American people. Like the Nation we defend, the military is a melting pot of culture, race, ethnicity, religion, and belief systems.
For example: Army Special Forces was created in collaboration with the Crow Nation ([link removed]) , this is represented by the arrows in the Army Special Forces Insignia.

Military Veteran Representation in Congress is at a historic low! We need career military and Veteran Representation in the United States Congress! ([link removed])
One of the the most beneficial aspects of joining the military is the education and exposure it provides. The education that federal service provides is a pentacle of unity in a currently divided culture. Service members receive an education, just like I did when I joined the United States Marines at seventeen. ([link removed]) The foundations of the Republic are vested in an educated population that understands and supports the truth and the rule of law that binds us together.
Having an all volunteer force ([link removed]) means Veteran’s choose to defend our liberty and independence. The Veteran community has a strong sense of unity and belonging in the Nation! We swore to defend a Pluralistic Union, a Democratically Elected, Representative, Constitutional-Republic dedicated to the principle that ALL are equal under the law. As Veterans, it is our responsibility set the example and to not allow divisive rhetoric and partisanship to compromise the bond created by the dedication of oneself to the Constitution and rule of law. Many veterans bear visible signs of their service: a missing limb, or a jagged scar. Others may carry the evidence inside them: a pin holding a bone together, or a piece of shrapnel. Brain injuries, Post Traumatic Stress, and an epidemic of suicide and mental health struggles challenge the Veteran community. The last casualties of War are never lost on the field of battle. It is the shattered families, broken homes, and friends lost to the enduring mental hardships of combat and service.

Being a U.S. military Veteran ([link removed]) also means you were willing to fight and die in service to this country. It meant being separated from friends, family and loved ones. It meant giving up control of your life to others and having to trust your well-being to them. It meant risking life and limb, to complete a mission, or help your buddies fighting alongside you.It meant you took an oath to ‘Support and Defend the Constitution of the United States’… ([link removed])

On this Veterans Day, we honor the service and sacrifice of our fellow men and women in arms. ([link removed])
Veterans share a very special bond and trust in their fellow Veterans whom have sustained the transition into service oriented selfless professionals guided by the rule of law. We understand the importance of accountability and hold our own to the highest standards.
Today’s partisan environment and discourse in Congress demands leadership! Leadership that veterans can provide. We must celebrate the service and sacrifice of our Veterans by bringing the Congress together to work for the American people! The atmosphere of cooperation and progress that a functional Congress would provide would bring the American People together around our shared values and common interests again. The truth is that we have much more in common than in conflict.

Increasing Veteran Representation in the Congress is a must, divisive rhetoric, financial corruption, and partisanship must be left in the past.
Together we must honor the service and sacrifice of our Veterans by rejecting the demonization of our friends and neighbors for political expedience.
Joining the military means you swore an oath to Support and Defend the Constitution and the rule of law. Educated Veteran leadership in the Congress can help bring Americans together around our shared values, common interests, prosperity, and National Security.
We are not Independents, Democrats, or Republicans, we are United States Americans and Veterans dedicated to the principles of liberty, freedom, equity under the law, and independence. ([link removed])
As this Veteran’s Day approaches it is more important than ever before for us to reflect on the principles of unity, liberty, equity, freedom, and independence that our Veterans fought for!
It is more important than ever before for us to reject the rhetoric and politics that are currently dividing America…
