I'm not gonna lie, .

Watching the way that Republicans and right-wind media are treating Lt. Col. Vindman -- the Russian Jewish refugee and decorated war hero who earned a purple heart serving in the infantry in Iraq and testified yesterday about what he witnessed during Trump's corrupt quid pro quo offer to Ukraine -- is really upsetting.

Lt. Col. Vindman represents the best of this country. Hard work. Service. Honor. Courage. Duty. And putting country over self. 

But then, without basis or explanation, Donald Trump accused Lt. Col Vindman of being "disloyal" -- a classic antisemitic trope.

They're smearing a Jewish immigrant who served this country with distinction and earned a Purple Heart, because he is willing to tell the truth about Donald Trump's corrupt withholding of hundreds of millions of dollars in Congressionally approved military aid to advance his own political agenda.

We aren't going to stand for it. Roger Williams may not have our veterans backs. He may not be willing to stand up for this country's active duty servicemembers. But you know that Julie will. Help us send a message -- and and let's show them what patriotism really looks like.

I want to be very clear.

Donald Trump attempted to extort a foreign country to frame a political rival for a crime that did not occur. That is an impeachable offense and a betrayal of this country.

But all Roger Williams can do is plug his ears and hope he gets invited to play golf, regardless of what the evidence says.

That's unacceptable -- our men and women in uniform deserve so much better.
