Last night in Virginia, Trump-endorsed, Big Lie-supporting, anti-voting rights candidate Glenn Youngkin defeated Democrat Terry McAuliffe to become the state's next governor.

This wasn't the outcome that we had hoped for and that many of us worked so hard for. The results of this election show that we have a tougher fight ahead to rid our country of Trumpism than anyone thought and we won't lie -- we're worried.

Trumpism is alive and well in Virginia and across the country. With just over one year until the midterm elections, we need to keep our foot on the gas if we're going to defeat the Treason Caucus and end Trumpism once and for all.

While last night's results were disappointing, we can't and we won't give up -- the future of our democracy depends on what we do right now.
