The case, New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen, deals with New York State’s permitting requirements for the concealed carry of firearms. By seeking to overturn this law, the gun lobby is attempting to weaken others around the country. In September, we filed an amicus brief in the case, defending the law. 

The gun lobby is recklessly asking the Supreme Court for permission to flood our communities with guns, and the timing isn’t coincidental. Nine years ago the Second Circuit upheld this exact law. The only thing that’s changed since then is the makeup of the Supreme Court. 

We will never stop challenging these bad-faith attempts to make our country less safe, but we need your help. The safety and wellbeing of our children and our communities are on the line.
