Do. Something.
If you're having trouble viewing this email, you can see it online.

At True Texas Project we kinda brag about our oft-quoted line:

"We don't just get mad... We DO something."

It's true.  We are a very active group.  How are YOU serving?  Here are my top 10 ideas in random order:

1.  Go vote.  Today is the last day.  Info is on our website under Nov 2021 Election.

2.  Help make phone calls.  We need you!  Personal calls make all the difference, so for our launches we have real people call known activists to invite them to our kickoffs.  In November we have two big ones, and it's way too many numbers for our regular volunteers to handle.  Can you make some calls with us? Email Liz.

3.  Eat & Sing, or Sing & Eat.  Not sure what order that will happen in, but please join us for our Thanksgiving Potluck & Hymn Sing-Along if you want! God shows up when we praise Him, and boy do we ever need Him to do that!

4.  Pipe down.  You've heard the saying, "If you can't say something nice..."  Well, it applies to TTP.  We work hard, and lately it seems folks just feel free to criticize at will about the silliest things.  Guess what -- if you don't like getting an email, delete it.  If you don't have interest in our social events, don't go.  If you're mad because we didn't tell you about the election, start using our website or the umpteen million other ways we communicate!  If you think we are focusing on the wrong topic, wait for next month's speaker or go to a different speaker at a nearby satellite location. If you don't like our ideas, hush up unless you have good ones to share.  If you think you can do it better, start a new group! Seriously, y'all... do I really have to be saying this???  Most of you are awesome; some of you needed this reminder.

5.  Speak up.  If you like what we do, tell a friend!  The best advertisement is a referral!  We make it so easy by providing a shareable graphic for every single event we host.

6.  Plug in.  Every location needs more help.  Most people seem to need to be personally asked, but that puts a lot of burden on our already-busy volunteer leaders!  Just do it!  For most roles, the time-commitment is minimal and only means attending the monthly meeting.  How hard is that?  Can you pass a hat, keep time, greet a guest, help with food, or display our merchandise?  Or maybe you can help recruit for our liaison program, coordinate social events, run A/V, lead a prayer, or push out events on social media.  Hey, what about helping with childcare?  There are so many roles to fill...and we like to have at least 2 people in each one! Email Susan.

7. Go the extra mile.  Did you know that the bulk of the activism that we do at True Texas Project is not even communicated to you if you are not part of our Citizen Advocate Program???  These are the people who make calls, send letters, show up at citizen meetings, and even testify at them sometimes!  Learn more.  Email Fran.

8.  Catch the holiday spirit.  The link to our absolutely amazing Christmas party will be up soon.  It will very likely sell out.  We've literally got the top dueling piano artists in the world coming to put on a fun show for us!  Funds from this event support our youth scholarship program encouraging students to stand up for conservative principles on their campuses.  Watch for the link!

9.  Give.  Come on... did you really think I could leave that off?  True Texas Project is in a very healthy financial position, but you know where we're gonna need help pretty quickly?  With the Primary Election.  We're a whole lot bigger now.  Getting the word out about quality candidates across the state is gonna take a lot more money than it used to when we only covered one corner of one county!  Funding for this sort of activity is required by law to go through our PAC, and we haven't fundraised for that arm of TTP in a couple years!  Think of it this way, for every dollar you donate, we can send voting recommendations to two households.  How many households do you want to reach?  Donate to our PAC today!

10.  Never give up.  It's after 2:00am as I write this, and I sat here thinking hard about what my final item should be.  I wanted to clear away all the business and busyness and hone in on something super important.  Found it.  Never give up.  You are not alone.  We are not done.  I don't care if you're convinced the end is nigh and it's hopeless...it looks to me like we are still here; so as long as we are able, we will keep fighting to protect the blessing of liberty, and we will grow this army.  Together.  Remember, there really are more of us than there are of them.  Who wants it more?

Thanks for reading my top ten list.  Thanks for being part of the True Texas army.  If I don't see you at a meeting this month or at the potluck we're hosting, have a very happy Thanksgiving, and make sure you're watching for the Christmas party tickets to go on sale!

Warmly,

Julie McCarty, CEO
