Check out the latest from NYGOP Volume 37 | October 31, 2021 This Week at the NYGOP Follow Us On Social Media! ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Dear John, Election Day is on Tuesday and we have been traveling all over New York State to get out the vote and remind people of what’s at stake in this election. We have traveled to more than 40 counties and counting to rally New Yorkers, and one thing is clear: they are fired up and ready to send a strong message. From the east end of Suffolk to the tip of the North Country through the Mohawk Valley, Southern Tier, Western New York, and everywhere in between, voters are fed up with the direction of our nation and state under one-Party Democrat rule. Though the candidates up for election on Tuesday are for local offices, the propositions on the back of the ballot have national implications. We have crisscrossed the state with our Just Say No tour to stop Democrats from legalizing rigged elections. These dangerous proposals will bring ballot harvesting to New York, implement same-day registration with no voter ID and give Democrats power to gerrymander their districts. In short, they would be a disaster for election integrity and that’s why we’re working so hard to urge all New Yorkers who care about honest elections to vote NO. Today is the last day of the Early Vote period and every hour counts between now and 9:00 PM when polls close on Tuesday. As you continue to make calls, texts, and knock doors for local candidates, don't forget to remind voters about how important it is to flip over the ballot and Just Say No. This week also brought a new development into next year’s race for governor. Attorney General Tish James threw her hat into the ring, in what will shape up to be a messy Democrat primary. Whether it’s Tish James who has spent her entire career as a radical left ideologue or Kathy Hochul who is desperately trying to become one, whatever Democrat emerges as the winner, they will represent the same pro-criminal, socialist agenda that is destroying New York. The only way to change New York is to elect a Republican governor who will provide much-needed checks and balances and a commonsense agenda. Finally, this week brought some very welcome news that Andrew Cuomo is finally set to be held accountable for *some* of his crimes. The Albany County Sheriff’s office confirmed Cuomo will be arrested and charged with a sex crime. While this is an encouraging first step, his thousands of nursing home victims deserve justice, too. Meanwhile, Assembly Democrats continue to stonewall the release of their investigation that New York taxpayers paid millions for. We will not rest until the full truth comes out and justice is served. Remember: Get out and VOTE! Election Day is this Tuesday, November 2nd, and polls are open from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Sincerely, Nick Langworthy NYGOP Chairman Poll of the Week: Chairman Nick Langworthy wants to hear from you! Question: Have you voted early or will you vote on Election Day? Nick Langworthy, state GOP chairman, wants voters to say no to propositions 1,3 and 4, measures which would make amendments to the state constitution. “There are propositions on the ballot which will fundamentally alter the way we run elections,” he said. “I believe they are an assault on election integrity in this state.” Prop 1 would strip the independence from an independent districting commission, would cap the state senate at 63 and require those incarcerated to be counted at their last residence for redistricting. Prop 3 would allow voters to register within 10 days of an election and allow for same day registration, and Prop 4 would allow for absentee balloting within a district. “You have a stripping of the independence of our independent redistricting commission,” said Langworthy. “This is dead wrong with this Democrat power grab.” Read Full Here State Republicans decry upcoming ballot proposals WBFO “Just Say No,” a slogan once championed by former First Lady Nancy Reagan to keep children away from drugs is now being used by New York State Republican Committee Chair Nick Langworthy on his state-wide tour in opposition to several proposals featured on the back of November’s ballot. Ballot Proposal 1 is a constitutional amendment that in part eliminates the current bi-partisan co-executives of the Independent Redistricting Committee and the requirement of a higher vote threshold if the legislature is controlled by one party. It would then require a simple majority vote for legislature to adopt the plan regardless of what party controls the legislature. Outside of the Erie County Board of Elections Thursday, Langworthy, alongside Senator Rob Ortt and Assemblyman William Barclay, voiced his displeasure at was he sees as an attack on democracy. “Let's keep our independent redistricting independent let's not let the powerful people in Albany gerrymander districts, and strip voices away from communities,” he said. Andrew Cuomo was charged Thursday with groping a former aide in Albany’s Executive Mansion — a crime that could send him to jail for a year if he’s convicted. A misdemeanor criminal complaint filed in Albany City Court alleges that Cuomo, 63, “did intentionally, and for no legitimate purpose, forcibly place his hand under the blouse shirt of the victim … and onto her intimate body part.” “Specifically, the victims [sic] left breast for the purposes of degrading and satisfying his sexual desire,” it adds. The incident allegedly took place on the afternoon of Dec. 7 on the second floor of the Executive Mansion, the governor’s official residence. Read Full Here Exclusive—Rep. Elise Stefanik: New Yorkers Can Stop Democrats from Rigging Our Elections Breitbart News Our election system plunged into utter chaos in 2020 with irregularities and constitutional issues. In fact, last election, New Yorkers saw these irregularities up close when it took months to seat Congresswoman Claudia Tenney in New York’s 22nd Congressional District due to several grave errors in the election process including losing ballots in a drawer, inaccurately counting absentee ballots, and a breakdown in basic election integrity measures. This disenfranchised hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers who went without federal representation for far too long. However, instead of focusing on strengthening election integrity and drawing fair lines for districts, Albany Democrats are risking the integrity of our state’s elections and attempting to jam through gerrymandered partisan district maps. On the back of every New Yorker’s ballot on the local elections on November 2, there are three Propositions disguised as “election reform.” It is critical that New Yorkers must vote no on Proposition 1, 3, and 4 to protect fair elections. Even if you do not have a competitive local election, you must turn out to vote against the Democrats’ corrupt ballot propositions. Read Full Here Ready to take back our state? Contribute today!
