We’re closing in on the end of October and our very first end-of-month fundraising deadline since we launched our Ballot Measure Rescue Campaign.

Since 2016, we’ve dedicated ourselves to fueling and funding ballot measure campaigns that change the lives of working people across America. We’re proud that in the face of partisan gridlock, we’ve won 20 of the 21 campaigns we’ve worked on, bringing real change to more than 17 million Americans. 

When we launched the Ballot Measure Rescue Campaign earlier this month, we knew we were exploring some uncharted territory, but friend, defending the ballot measure process is so critical, we knew we had to do it. Ballot measures are one of the most democratic tools available to Americans. 

But as of late, extremist legislators have started fighting back against the ballot measure process — introducing legislation that would make it harder to pass important measures at the ballot box. Since the beginning of 2021, at least 87 bills have been introduced that would burden or harm the ballot measure process.

So, as we come up on our first end-of-month deadline since launching the Ballot Measure Rescue Campaign, will you consider making a donation of $8.70 or whatever you can afford to fuel our campaign?

How will we use the resources collected as part of this campaign? Where we need to bring litigation, we will litigate. Where we can stop bad laws from being passed, we will run aggressive campaigns to stop these anti-democratic bills. And where the legislature refers suppressive measures to the ballot, we will fight to win those ballot campaigns.
