Friend,

As our birthday month comes to a close, we want to thank you for making it a great month! We kicked off the month visiting our friends at Freetown Farm in Columbia for some garden work, then we sorted donations of professional clothes at A Wider Circle in Silver Spring, and this Saturday, we’ll be at the Maryland Book Bank in Baltimore for our final day of service.

We are so grateful for everyone who joined Strong Future MD staff at these events! It was so nice to get out into Maryland and spend some time giving back to our communities with you.

But we aren’t done yet, and we still need your help.

We’ve also spent October collecting supplies for children and teens in the justice system. We appreciate all the donations you’ve sent us from the kids’ wish list. We called on you to help, and we have been overwhelmed by the response (and so have the delivery drivers).

We're so grateful for everyone who has purchased items, but there are still many necessary items on the list.

We’re hoping to fill as many backpacks as we can with basic essentials and comfort items to make their transitions out of detention or into shelters easier and more dignified. Visit the wish list to purchase items here.
