Since January 6, Republicans have consistently downplayed the violent insurrection at the Capitol. They are doing everything they can to shield Donald Trump and others who incited the mob. In fact, almost every Republican in the House voted to protect white nationalist Steve Bannon from facing contempt charges for refusing to cooperate with the committee investigating the insurrection.

Why would these Republican “lawmakers” want to prevent a complete investigation of the violence on January 6? Because many of them were complicit.

According to Rolling Stone, some Republican members of Congress and their staff worked directly with the organizers of the Stop the Steal rally to overthrow the results of the election.

Democracy is on the line, and we can’t stand back and do nothing. We need to do EVERYTHING we can to make sure Republicans don’t win back the House next year.
