The Virginia gubernatorial election is just five days away, John.

Right now, Democrat Terry McAuliffe is locked in a neck-and-neck race with Trump 2.0, Glenn Youngkin. The Cook Political Report has labeled this race as a "toss-up" and the latest poll from Monmouth University shows Terry and Glenn tied 46-46.

We can't afford to let Republicans win back this governor's seat. Youngkin is endorsed by both Donald Trump and Mike Pence and has played into Trump's claims of voter fraud in the 2020 election. To make matters worse, earlier this month at a rally, Youngkin supporters recited the pledge of allegiance to a flag that was carried on January 6.

That's right -- Youngkin supporters pledged their support to a flag that was used to attack our democracy.

Virginians need a governor like Terry McAuliffe who will defend our cherished democratic principles, not one whose supporters celebrate a deadly attack on our democracy. But with the race as close as it is, Terry needs a rush of support before polls close on Tuesday to ensure he wins.
